St. Peter's Singles Support Group
Who Are We?
For 27 years, the St. Peter's Support Group has been devoted to helping people on a peer to peer basis who are coping with a divorce or the loss of a spouse or who have never been married. Through it's leaders and dedicated volunteers, the group provides support through its' weekly meetings that include discussions and sharing which helps individuals take their minds off any current problems and also by the contributions of others who have been through similar situations (who survived and prospered). The group has a good balance of both men and women with members of all different ages.
This is a warm and caring group of sincere people who have created a community that supplies generous support and friendship not only to its' members, but also gives support to local, needy causes that come to its' attention.
First time visitors are offered an orientation and sharing meeting guided by one of the leaders.

Social Activities For One And All
St. Peter's Support Group is always finding ways and activities for it's members to have fun and enjoy themselves. Here is the current list of planned events and activities. Members are encouraged to make suggestions for new and acceptable activities like trips to New York City, Giant's Stadium, etc.

October 18, Meeting. We will start collecting unwrapped new clothes and toys for newborns and children up to the age of 13. Monetary donations are also accepted and will be used to buy appropriate gifts. Checks are payable to The Bergen County Department of Human Services, Office for Children and NOT St. Peter's Support Group. These donations are for children of Bergen County families who receive a child care subsidy from The Department of Human Services, Hackensack, NJ. DEADLINE for these donations is our December 6 meeting.
October 27, Saturday. We will be attending the annual Halloween dance featuring The Cameos at St. Andrew's church hall, 400 Mt. Prospect Avenue, Clifton, NJ.
The cost is $35 which includes music by the Cameos, dancing, buffet and dessert. It is ok to bring wine only. Costumes encouraged. Doors open 6 p.m. and dinner is at 6:30. October 28, Sunday - QUEENS MUSEUM TOUR AND OCTOBERFEST DINNER
Cost $50 per person (includes tax & tips) PLUS $15.00 GW Bridge toll.

1-hour guided tour of the Museum - View the Worlds Fair NYC panorama model, a collection of Worlds Fair memorabilia, a Tiffany Glass collection and a collection of area art.

November 1, Thursday Meeting (All Saints' Day) - We will be meeting at Vitale's, 293 Queen Anne Road, Teaneck at 6:00 p.m. for a pre Thanksgiving HAPPY HOUR. Their Happy Hour is from 4 to 7 p.m. so please feel free to get there earlier. There is a FREE hot and cold buffet with the purchase of any type of drink. It does NOT have to be an alcoholic beverage.
November 15 Meeting. We will have a speaker and the topic is MEDICARE.
November 18, Sunday - NY HOLIDAY TRAIN SHOW and ARTHUR AVENUE DINNER Cost $110 per person (includes tax & tips, GW Bridge toll and parking) We will carpool - 20 MEMBERS MAXIMUM!!! -
The price includes: Enchanting model trains zip through a display of more than 175 New York landmarks each re-created with bark, leaves, and other natural materials all under the twinkling glow of the Conservatory

November 22, Thursday, THANKSGIVING - We are meeting at the Coach House in Hackensack at 1:00 p.m. If you have no plans, please feel free to join us.
Reservations are a MUST. Please respond no later than October 30, to Camille Rush at email@example.com or Jackie Taylor at JMT12402@aol.com. Sorry, we are not able to guarantee a seat if you do not let us know in advance you are attending.
You can order whatever you want off the menu, i.e. a complete dinner, an appetizer or just dessert.
December 2, Sunday - CHRISTMAS PARTY. At Seasons, 644 Pascack Road, Washington Township, from noon to 4. Deluxe assortment of hot and cold appetizers, pasta, salad, choice of 3 entrees, soda, coffee, tea and dessert. There will be a CASH bar and a DJ.
Payment is due by the November 1 meeting.
December 6 Meeting. We will have a speaker and the topic is, "How To Have More Control Over Your Life and Getting The Most Out Of Being Single."
This is the DEADLINE for donated toys and clothes.
December 20, Meeting. - We are meeting in the PARISH CENTER for a Christmas and holiday celebration. Please bring either a snack and or dessert Also, bring what you would like to drink. Bottled water and paper products will be supplied.
January 17 Meeting - We will have a speaker from Valley Health and the topic will be "Lowering and Managing your Blood Pressure."
January 20, Sunday. - We are celebrating JANUARY/FEBRUARY birthdays at Riverside Manor, 27 East 33rd Street, Paterson (GPS 1 Morlot Avenue, FairLawn) from 1 to 3 p.m.
The price is $24 or $23 if it is your birthday. We will be having brunch which includes breakfast, dinner items and desserts with unlimited juice, soda, coffee and tea. Alcoholic beverages are extra. The money is due at the restaurant.
February 21 Meeting - We will have a speaker from Bergen Medical Associates and the topic will be "Living With Diabetes."
March 21, Meeting We will have a speaker and the topic is "The Medicine of Laughter."
